Hipe was founded in 2026 with a simple but ambitious goal: deliver fast, relevant news from trusted sources with a clean, focused experience — free from the noise and clutter that plague most news platforms today. We believe that staying informed should be straightforward, transparent, and accessible to everyone.

Hipe aggregates content from a carefully curated network of sources to bring you the stories that matter most. Our platform pulls from multiple channels to ensure breadth and quality:
- RSS Feeds — We monitor thousands of RSS feeds from established publications, independent journalists, and niche outlets across every major category.
- Pocket Recommendations — Highly-saved and trending long-form content surfaces through our Pocket integration, highlighting the articles people find most worth reading.
- Community Submissions — Our members submit, upvote, and discuss stories directly on the platform, ensuring that grassroots reporting and under-covered topics get the attention they deserve.
Transparency
We are committed to operating with full transparency. Hipe does not sell your personal data and does not use dark patterns to keep you scrolling. We are committed to building a sustainable business through optional premium memberships and clearly labeled sponsored content — never through covert data monetization.
Every editorial and algorithmic decision we make is guided by one principle: serve the reader first.
Community Features
Hipe is more than a feed — it is a community of curious, engaged readers. Our platform includes several features designed to foster thoughtful discussion and collaboration:

- Member Articles — Members can write and publish full articles on Hipe, contributing original reporting, analysis, and opinion pieces to the community.

Hipe is built by a small, distributed team of engineers, designers, journalists, and community managers who share a passion for honest, well-presented information. We operate remotely across multiple time zones, united by the belief that the news experience can — and should — be better.
